Laser Hair Reduction
The Spectrum 810nm diode laser will reduce and may permanently remove unwanted body hair. Melanin is what gives our hair color, and is what the laser light targets. When the light enters the follicle it is converted to heat energy that destroys/inactivates the hair follicle, preventing the hair from growing again.
There are 3 stages of hair growth: Anagen (active growth), Catagen (transition from active to resting), and Telogen (resting). In order for laser hair treatments to be effective hair must be in the active growth phase (anagen). Individual hairs are in different stages of growth at any given time, multiple laser treatments are required to target them when they are in the Anagen stage. This is the reason that multiple laser treatments are required to target all of them, and why each treatment must be spaced out.
Each treatment is spaced between 4-6 weeks and a minimum of 6 treatments is recommended. Hair removal is not 100% permanent because of the roles hormones play in hair growth cycling. Hair may come out of being dormant after several years and will need to be treated.
Laser Skin Resurfacing/Laser Peel
Laser resurfacing is accomplished by removing (ablating) the epidermis and creating controlled injury to the dermis. The initial laser resurfacing provides superficial skin renewal while the dermis produces collagen and elastin in the response to the injury. The immediate result is of a refreshed complexion while softening of lines and wrinkles will be apparent 4-6 weeks later.
We can customize the aggressiveness of the treatment – more aggressive treatments provide the most dermal restructuring to help deeper wrinkles and skin texture concerns. You can expect 3-7 days of social downtime depending on how aggressive of a treatment you desire. Visible results will be present after only one treatment, though further sessions will further maximize outcomes. It’s a great stack with RF microneedling for synergistic results.
Tattoo Removal
Using our Q-switched laser, we provide extremely short pulses of high energy laser light. The light is absorbed by the particles of the tattoo pigment but doesn’t get absorbed by the surrounding skin. The tattoo pigment heats up and shatters into smaller particles. The smaller particles make it easier for your body’s own cells to flush away the shattered pigments. Tattoo removal takes multiple sessions due to the healing process that must occur. Older, darker tattoos are generally more easy to remove but expect 6-8 sessions spaced 8 weeks apart for full treatment.
IPL/Photofacial
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a broad-spectrum, highly concentrated light beam that is selectively absorbed by undesired pigment or redness with minimal effect on surrounding tissues. What that means is that you can achieve significant reduction in brown spots/hyperpigmentation, rosacea or unsightly blood vessels. Multiple treatments will be required but there's no downtime. The biggest limitation is recent (4 weeks) sun exposure/burn and skin tone. Avoiding sun exposure afterwards is also very important for maintenance of results.
